Bring a Friend to Ballet Day

The last week of every month the School of Ballet will be pleased to host special guests invited by students of our school. All students are encouraged to invite friends to attend a complementary ballet lesson the last week of each month. Special cards are available at the studio which students can distribute to friends. The cards contain contact information for the School of Ballet.

Special accomodations will be made for guests who do not have previous dance experience. Special discounts will be offered to any newly enrolling student recommended by a friend.

We strongly encourage parents to attend the last lesson of the month for special observation days. This is also a great time to bring a friend to try the class! (See bring a friend policy!)

Lots of new and exciting things are happening at the studio:

Open House

Wednesday September 7^th, 4:00- 8:00pm

We are inviting parents and students to stop by the studio to meet instructors, get advice on class placement or pointe shoe qualifications, and participate in free dance activities!

We are encouraging ALL students to register before this date by mailing in their registration forms. A $15 registration fee will be waived for all those registering by September 7^th.

Harvest Home Parade

This year we will be marching in the Harvest Home Parade on

Thursday, September 8^th starting @ 6:00pm. The route starts at Bridgetown and Harrison Ave, proceeds up Harrison to North Bend Rd, then proceeds up North Bend Rd. to Harvest Home Park.

Any AVO student may participate as long as they can walk the entire route.

Anyone who wants to march with us must email Michele Frey at amafrey@fuse.net by September 1^st. I will email final instructions, i.e. where to meet, what to wear, etc. after the 1^st.

We are looking forward to seeing you this Fall!!

Summer Classes 2011

Save the dates! Just so you know Mrs. B is already in communication with guest artists Jonnie-Lynn Jacobs-Percer, Steve Beirens, and Rene Mitcheo among other guest artists and favorites to put together a wonderful summer session. Mrs. B will be teaching Intermediate classes and Conni is already planning a special course to include the Lisa Howell Perfect Pointe Material.

AvO Summer session begins June 20 and will run 8 weeks through August 12.

Additional “Intersession Classes” will be held from August 15 – September 2 for Intermediate/ Advanced levels.
