Which do you think is more important?  Perfect technique or artistic expression?

Many teachers have argued that skills and knowledge are essential prerequisites for the production of art, but can art exist if skills and knowledge are overshadowed by physical limitations? Can art exist in an imperfect vessel?

Clearly both technique and creativity are critical, but this video suggests that real artisitic expression supersedes physical “imperfection.” The voice of artistic wisdom holds power and beauty even as physical ability fades. That is why we feel the Art of Ballet is a cultural right to all– from the youngest pre-schooler to the oldest, as this video shows: Inspiration comes in many forms!
