Peter’s Big Adventures

The pinnacle of the new Beatrix Potter ballet will feature the adventures of that famous bunny and his lesser known cousin, Benjamin.

Essentially, part one is Peter getting into trouble, losing his new coat and slippers, and being sent to bed without supper.  But in part two Bemjamin Bunny helps Peter recover his stolen goods with a few added shenanigans.

Here is a draft of some of the music… see if you can hear the various plot lines:

Peter s Adventures part 1

1. Three Good bunnies dance
2. Mother Bunny gives instructions
3. Peter makes his appearance
4. Peter is caught by Mr. McGregor
5. Peter is stuck in the net, and is aided by some sympathetic birds.
6. Peter runs again and jumps into a watering can
7. Peter goes home and goes to bed as the three good bunnies are rewarded for their good behavior.

Second Part

Peters Adventures part 2

1. Benjamin Bunny comes to see his cousin
2. Peter tells Benjamin what happened
3. They sneak off together and take back Peter’s clothes
4. Benjamin puts on Mr. McGregor’s tam and struts about
5. They encounter a cat and hide under a basket.  The cat sits on the basket and they are trapped!
6. A mysterious hero comes to their rescue with an unusual entrance!
7. It is Old Benjamin Bunny with a switch!  He scares away the cat.
8. The two young bunnies get a stern lecture and a switch.  They run home leaving Mr. McGregor’s Tam.
9. Old Benjamin Bunny picks up the Tam and enjoys the last laugh as the adventure comes to a close.
